Chaffin’s Barn is bringing “A Country Christmas Carol” back by popular demand. During its first run in 2001, our owner, Sue McWhorter, saw it twice with groups and then returned to see it again with family and friends. Sue says “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a play that was more fun or laughed so hard.”

to Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre. Since 1967,

top quality professional comedies and musicals. Located in a countryside setting
just on the outskirts of Nashville, you’ll have a very special boxed lunch
before settling back to enjoy “A Country Christmas Carol”.
An Appalachian spin on the classic Dickens’ story as told by a mother to her
little girl, Carol, on Christmas Eve. Set in modern day London, KY, the story
centers on Ebeneezer Scrubb, a slum lord who works his poor assistant Bob
Scratchitt to the bone! Bob has to work hard to pay for the double-wide and pay
the bills for poor ailing Tiny Clem. Ebeneezer begins to change his ways one
Christmas Eve when confronted by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob
Harley. He’s then visited by the three ghosts - Christmas Past (Grandpa Jonus),
Christmas Present (Miss Holly Parton), and Christmas Future
(Big E)! It’s a
hilarious romp through a family favorite, sure to be a tradition for holidays to
come! A special performance just for Glory Tours!
