Thanksgiving in the "Big Apple"

Cost per person: Double $1431.00 Single $1909.00.  Includes luxury motor coach transportation; 5 nights lodging; 8 meals: 4 breakfast, 4 dinners; seating for Thanksgiving Day Parade; admission to a hit Broadway musical: NYC sightseeing tour including Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Empire State Building, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Ground Zero and many more attractions; Thanksgiving Dinner Cruise; services of a tour manager throughout the trip; trip cancellation/interruption insurance; all taxes gratuities and much more!

Day 1 Depart Huntsville this morning and travel to Harrisonburg, VA with rest stops and lunch stop en route. Lunch and dinner will be on your own. After checking in at the hotel, there will be time to rest for tomorrow’s journey to New York City.

Day 2 Enjoy continental breakfast at your hotel. Expect a mid-afternoon arrival in the “Big Apple” where you’ll check in your Times Square hotel. The NYC adventure begins with a dinner in a Times Square restaurant. You will experience a hit Broadway musical to top off the evening. Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3 A scrumptious American breakfast is served at your hotel prior to a full day of sightseeing with an experienced guide. Some of today’s sights will include a visit to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the gardens and plaza at Rockerfeller Center and Ground Zero. You’ll see ABC Television Studios, Upper West Side, Dakota Apartments, American Museum of Natural History, Upper East Side, mansions and townhouses, Guggenheim Museum, Museum Mile, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park Zoo, Temple Emanuel, a walking tour of Central Park and a stroll along Fifth Avenue’s shopping district including the Plaza Hotel, Bergdorf Goodman and Tiffany & Company, Trump Tower, Gardens and Plaza at Rockefeller Center with many, many more places to visit and finally stop at. In the afternoon you will ferry across New York Harbor to visit the symbol of America, the Statue of Liberty, and the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. (This tour does not include the base of The Statue of Liberty.) This evening enjoy the pageantry of Radio City Music Hall. The 2005 Radio City Christmas Spectacular returns to Radio City Music Hall with a dazzling new opening number! Join the entire cast and the world-famous Rockettes as they debut an original song featuring stunning new sets, costumes, stage effects and an electrifying new precision tap routine! Add show-stopping favorites like the "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and the majestic "Living Nativity" and this year's show is not to be missed. Day 4 Your Thanksgiving Day celebration begins with Macy’s 2005 Thanksgiving Day Parade. You will marvel at the magic of feeling like a kid all over again from great viewing seats for the Annual Macy’s day parade. For 79 years, Macy's has given us a tradition which both celebrates America and calls forth Christmas. This annual classic features balloons, floats, performers, bands and clowns. A box breakfast will be served. After the parade visit the magnificent restoration of Cornelius Vanderbilt’s Grand Central Terminal combining the romance of train travel and the magnificent terminal building from a bygone time. The NYC skyline is your backdrop as you sail around the Harbor for a Thanksgiving dinner cruise. After the cruise, enjoy a fabulous bird’s eye view of the city at night from the top of what some consider the world’s most famous building, the Empire State Building. Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5 Arise to a full American breakfast buffet at the hotel, you may visit a museum or shop this morning before beginning the trip home. Arrive in New Market, VA where you’ll have a casual dinner and a tour of American Celebration on Parade. American Celebration is a unique collection of stunning parade floats, props, and stage settings from American entertainment and political history. You’ll find floats from the Rose Parade, presidential inaugurals, Thanksgiving parades and many other prestigious parades. You’ll recognize many of these floats and other celebration art pieces and you will be amazed at their size and beauty. Overnight in New Market. Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6 After breakfast at your hotel, depart for the your ride home reflecting on all the fun and excitement of Thanksgiving in The Big Apple. There will be rest stops and a dinner stop before your return time to Huntsville. Expect a return about 8:30 p.m. Breakfast, Dinner

Deposit requested by September 1. The balance is due October 1.
